Cookie policy
ClaimGavel uses very few cookies. This policy explains which ones, why, and how we handle your consent.
Last updated · 22 June 2026
The short version: we do not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data. The only cookies we set are the strictly necessary ones needed to keep you securely signed in if you have an account. Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not show a cookie banner.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work and to keep you signed in. We also use similar technologies such as local storage where needed.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
If you create an account or use the partner area, we set strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against security threats (for example to prevent cross-site request forgery). These features will not work without them. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent, so we do not ask for it.
Cookies we do not use
We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party marketing cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles of you. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
How we handle consent
Because we only set strictly necessary cookies, there is no cookie banner to accept. Consent is instead handled where it matters: when you submit the assessment or contact form, you tick a box to confirm that you are happy for us to use your details to put you in touch with a solicitor, and that you have read our privacy policy. That tick-box — not a cookie — is how we record your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies through their settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies above, signing in and the partner area may stop working. Guidance is available in each browser's help pages.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy if our use of cookies changes. The date above shows when it was last reviewed. Questions? Email privacy@claimgavel.com, or see our privacy policy.
